Debit MasterCard® Convenience & Safety
Use your ATM/Debit Card for purchases wherever you see the MasterCard® logo. Swipe your card, enter your PIN or sign a receipt and youíre on your way. The purchase amount will be automatically deducted from your checking account.

Sad but true: FRAUD IS RAMPANT. To outwit the crooks we sometimes must block debit transactions done in credit mode where criminal activity is heavy. We donít block transactions using a PIN; using your PIN provides an added layer of fraud prevention.
If your Debit transaction wonít process in credit mode, please use your PIN. At a gas station, this may mean going inside to the cashier. Itís always a good idea to have an alternate method of payment with you Ė a credit card or checks.
If youíre traveling beyond your normal area call to let us know. The fraud detection center then knows itís you - not a crook - using your debit card. Call Client Services @ 866.771.8924.
We recommend that you carry an alternative payment solution (credit card or checks) should your Debit Card not work for any reason.

Youíll get a receipt when you use your card, plus youíll see your transactions (date, place and amount) in NetTeller Online Banking, and on your statement.
Should your card be lost or stolen, your liability for fraudulent activity is limited if you report it right away.
To report a lost or stolen Debit MasterCard:
Call Client Services @ 1.866-771-8924 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday; 8:30 -12:30 Saturdays.
After hours, please call 1.866.546.8273.
Debit Card Safety
When youíre traveling, we recommend that you call the Bank to let us know that your debit card usage will change so that we can alert the Fraud Center. Youíll want the Center to know that your card use in other states during this timeframe isnít an attempt at fraudulent use of your card. Call 1.866-771-8924 during normal business hours.
We recommend that you carry alternative payment solutions should your debit card not be readable for any reason:
Credit card: Pay in full each month to avoid paying interest, either by using Blackhawk Bankís Bill Pay or your cardís online payment feature.
Checks: Theyíre widely accepted with proper ID.
Recommendations for Recurring Payments from Your Checking Account:
NetTeller Bill-Pay Service: For recurring payments, we recommend using online Bill Pay. Itís totally free and can be set up to pay on a recurring basis, or for one-time payments.
Account Debits: Use your checking account number (not your Debit Card number) and Blackhawk Bankís Routing Number 275971854. Instruct service providers to automatically debit your account for monthly payments of utilities, phone, subscriptions, etc.
