October 26, 2018 (Beloit, WI) – Blackhawk Bank recently announced the addition of Mary King McGovern as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to the Blackhawk Family. Her appointment fills the position most recently held by Todd James who was recently named as President and CEO of Blackhawk Bancorp, Inc.
With more than 25 years of banking experience, McGovern is well-versed in the profitability and sustainability of financial organizations. Her leadership and expertise as chief financial officer has been an asset to multiple community banks, as well as her role as CFO of a wholly owned subsidiary of a regional banking organization.
Graduating summa cum laude from North Central College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, McGovern is also a registered Illinois Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Using her financial experience, McGovern currently serves as a National-Director-at-Large for the Financial Managers Society. She was previously a member of the Rockford Chamber LEAD organization and a former Director of Family Shelter Services of DuPage and the West Chicago Chamber of Commerce.
