News Release: Blackhawk Bank Appoints Binicewicz SVP Business Banking

Gary Binicewicz Senior Vice President Business BankingMarch 20, 2018 (Rockford, IL) – Gary Binicewicz has joined Blackhawk Bank as Senior Vice President, Business Banking. Binicewicz has over 29 years of banking experience. He began his career as a Teller at First Federal Savings Bank in Rockford in 1989, growing into a supervisory position before transitioning into Branch Management at American General Finance. Gary became a Business Banking Relationship Manager at Associated Bank, and a Commercial Relationship Manager at Amcore Bank. Gary comes to Blackhawk Bank from Alpine Bank, where he has worked since 2008 as Vice President, Commercial Banking. At Alpine, Gary specialized in cash management, merchant services, and trust and investment services.

Binicewicz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Economics from Southern Illinois University in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Management Information Systems, from Northern Illinois University in 2001. His additional training and coursework is extensive. Most recently, he completed 2 of 4 Advanced Lender Diploma courses at the National Association of Government Lenders.

Gary is an active member in the community. He is currently involved in Lifescape Community Services/Community Kitchen, and the Center for Sight and Hearing. Previously, Gary has been active with the Arthritis Foundation, City of Rockford Community Development committee, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, among others.
