News Release: Benitez Promoted to AVP CRA and Compliance Officer

Marisol Benitez Assistant Vice President of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Compliance.  August 15, 2018 (Beloit, WI) – Blackhawk Bank recently promoted Marisol Benitez to Assistant Vice President CRA and Compliance Officer.

A part of the Blackhawk Bank family since 2007, Benitez has nearly two decades of experience in the financial industry.  She previously held the position of AVP Personal Banking Officer at the Blackhawk Bank Rockford Banking Center on 11th Street. 

A native of Puerto Rico, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Tourism and minor in French from University of the Sacred Heart, Puerto Rico.  Benitez is fluent in English, Spanish and French.  She is also able to speak conversational Italian.

Committed to her community, Benitez volunteers at St. Anskar Episcopal Church as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher.  She is a committee member for Greater Rockford Global Entity, a bilingual meet and greet volunteer for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and a member of Salsa Business Network.

In her spare time, Benitez enjoys swing dancing and spending time with her children, Pedro and Alejandra.
