November 4, 2022 (Beloit, WI) – Blackhawk Bank recently partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago), to present Stepping Stones of Rockford with grant money from the Affordable Housing Program (AHP) General Fund.
Blackhawk Bank, as a member of the FHLBank Chicago, was able apply for this grant on behalf of Stepping Stones of Rockford as a part of the AHP. The FHLBank Chicago announced that this program has awarded a total of $20.6 million to 35 housing projects in Illinois and Wisconsin, all to support the acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction of over 1,600 housing units.

Stepping Stones of Rockford is a private, nonprofit 501c3 community mental health provider in Winnebago County. The organization offers a variety of mental health treatment interventions and access to 24-hour services, as well as the opportunity for residents to live in the most independent community setting.
