Diversity anyone? Marisol Benitez-Prieto was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She worked for American Airlines for 13 years before moving to Des Moines, Iowa in May, 2000. In September, 2005 she moved with her family to Illinois. She is the bank's bilingual Business Development Manager for the Immigrant Banking Division. Marisol oversees all aspects of the development and delivery of products and services in Boone and Winnebago counties for the vast Hispanic small business clientele. She provides clients the benefit of over 8 years of banking expertise and more than 22 years of professional experience. She received her B.A. in Tourism/French from the University of the Sacred Heart in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Marisol is also a bilingual financial literacy faclitator for the FDIC's Money Smart Program. Active in her industry and her community, Marisol is a member of the FDIC Alliance for Economic Inclusion Group-Immigrant sub-committee. She was recently appointed as the Public Relations / Communications Director for RAMBA (Rockford Area Business Association) and is a member of the Illinois Banking Association's Emerging Markets Advisory Board.
